What we see in the field
An invoice is a collections document, not a receipt.
When we audit a small operation’s receivables, late payment almost never traces back to a difficult client. It traces back to an invoice that went out days after the work, or one that left the reader guessing about the amount, the deadline, or how to actually pay. Every element below exists to remove one of those excuses.
Send it the day you finish
The invoice that arrives while the client is still pleased with the work gets paid quickest. Every day it sits in your truck is a day added to the front of the payment clock, before the terms even start counting.
Number every one, never reuse
Sequential numbers make a dispute a thirty-second lookup instead of an afternoon. They also make your year-end reconciliation something your bookkeeper can do without calling you.
Decide the follow-up in advance
Three days before due, on the due date, then weekly. Written down once, it stops being an awkward decision you make while annoyed and starts being a process.

Where does my information go?
Nowhere. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your business details and logo are kept in this browser’s local storage so the next invoice starts filled in, and the PDF is assembled on your own device. Nothing is transmitted to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data, or pressing “Clear everything”, removes it.
Is this a real PDF or a picture of one?
A real one. The text is text. Your client can select it, search it, and their accounting software can read it. That matters when an invoice has to be forwarded, filed, or attached to a claim.
Is this legally sufficient as an invoice?
It produces the elements a commercial invoice normally carries, but requirements vary by state, industry, and whether you are registered for sales tax. If you are licensed, bonded, or collecting tax, check what your jurisdiction requires on the face of the document, and put your license number in the footer line. We are not lawyers or accountants, and this is not tax advice.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The form stacks to one column and the preview scales to your screen while keeping the document’s true proportions, so what you see is what the PDF contains. Filling one out from the driveway before you pull away is the whole idea.
Should I be doing this by hand at all?
Honestly, past roughly ten invoices a month, no. At that point the win is not the document, it is the chain around it: the job closing out, the invoice sending itself, the reminder going out on day 27, the payment reconciling. That is the work we do. The tool is here free either way, no signup and no email required.

The defaults in this generator are opinionated because they come from audits of real receivables, where the gap between paid in five days and paid in forty was almost never the client. It was the document.
